Testing the app

There are a number of ways to test your app created in Tiggzi:

  1. Desktop web browser
  2. Mobile web browser
  3. Using Tiggzi Mobile Tester to test native apps
  4. Installing the app on the device

Desktop web browser

Testing in desktop web browser is done by clicking the Test button:

Making app public

If you want to share the app link with other people, check Public option. You can always uncheck to make the app private again.

Mobile frame

By default, the app opens in special mobile frame:

You can change the phone size as well as rotate the phone.

If you want to see the app without the frame, uncheck Show in mobile frame option. When you click Test next time, the app will open without the frame:

QR code

You can also scan the QR code with your phone (requires barcode scanner app) to get the app link.

Mobile web browser

Make the app public, then either email the link to your phone or scan the QR code.

Tiggzi Mobile Tester (native tester app)

Tiggzi Mobile Tester is a native app from which you can test apps built in Tiggr. This app makes it very simple to test native apps as you don’t need to install the app each time a change is made Tiggr Mobile Tester is free and is available for iPhone and Android. Both versions are open source. The app looks like this:

  1. Download and install Tiggzi Mobile Tester
    1. Android: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.exadel.tiggr.projectlist or search for ‘Tiggzi Mobile Tester’ in market app on your phone.
    2. Tiggzi Mobile Tester for iPhone source code is available for download as an open source project. Please follow the instructions outlined in readme.txt on “How to Build an iOS Binary”.
  2. Once the app is installed, launch it and log in. Use the same credentials as for http://tiggzi.com
  3. Find your app in the list and tap to launch it.

Installing the app on the device

You can also always build a binary for your platform and install the app directly on your device for testing.
